Salsa Suave!

Here is a recipe I found online for the white sauce that you can get at Mexican restaurants in Virginia and North Carolina!  The phenomenon started in a restaurant called El Toro in Norfolk, VA, which has since gone out of business.  I now live in Florida, and can't find it anywhere!  I'll just have to enjoy it at home!

Salsa Suave (Mexican White Sauce)

Ingredients:

2 cups Miracle Whip or Salad Dressing
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 Tbsp. crushed red pepper
1 1/2 tsp. cumin
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp. oregano

Combine ingredients thoroughly and cover.  Chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours before serving.  Serve with tortilla chips or on your favorite Mexican food.  It goes great on everything!


I also found a recipe online for their salsa - have to try it!  Will post it if it is good!
